Build a crew by sound, not by stats

Beat Critters characters are musical building blocks. A character does not replace another simply because it looks stronger: Koda anchors the pulse, Luna supplies a bright lead, Nova adds an airy vocal hook, and Glitch cuts the arrangement with digital texture. The most satisfying crews combine complementary roles.

Each character includes a Rooftop loop and a Neon Overdrive loop. Start with the calmer Rooftop version while learning a performer, then compare its more energetic Overdrive variation.

How to choose your first seven

A balanced starting lineup uses two rhythm characters, one or two melodic characters, one voice, one effect, and an extra color. That is only a guide. Remove layers when the mix feels crowded, use solo listening to identify conflicts, and move performers across the stage to shape the stereo field. The stage supports seven active performers, so every placement is a creative decision.
